Welcome to the 2nd Annual Philatelic Literature auction cosponsored by the American Philatelic Research Library (APRL) and the Rocky Mountain Philatelic Library (RMPL). This auction features more than  xxx different philatelic-themed works covering a wide range of general philately, United States and Foreign postal history and stamps, Aerophilately and Aviation and Colorado History.

The RMPL opened its doors in August of 1993, largely due to the efforts of a small group of dedicated philatelists who desired a local library with philatelic material. From its humble beginnings, the RMPL has grown into the largest philatelic library west of the Mississippi River. Its holdings include more than 13,000 different book and catalog titles, over 1100 different journal titles, several thousand auction catalogs, price lists, stamp show programs, maps, special collections, exhibits and more.

Now in its 33rd year of operation, the mission of the RMPL is to serve the philatelic community and the public at large by promoting stamp collecting as an educational and rewarding hobby. A registered (501)(c)(3) non-profit organization in the state of Colorado, the RMPL is a volunteer-run organization serving members in Colorado as well as throughout the United States and internationally.

The APRL was founded in 1968 to accumulate, organize, and preserve philatelic information regarding publications and other data relating to the stamp collecting hobby, and to make it available to its members, staff, and the public.

Today, the APRL is the largest and most accessible public philatelic library in the United States. Its seemingly endless shelves contain more than 25,000 book titles and 6,400 journal titles, as well as general and specialized catalogs, government documents, auction catalogs and price lists, stamp show programs and palmares, exhibits, CD- and DVD-ROMs, and research and archival collections.

AUCTIONS ARE AN IMPORTANT SOURCE OF FUNDRAISING FOR OUR TWO ORGANIZATIONS. YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THIS AUCTION IS IMPORTANT AND SINCERELY APPRECIATED. THANK YOU!
